HODUM, Joan (nee Valenti), age 87, of Garfield, died on May 15, 2019. Born and raised in Lodi for 38 years, she settled in Garfield 49 years ago. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Garfield, Past President of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 136, and Past Lachapeoa of the 40/8 Voyager of Bergen County. She is predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Carl in 2015, and her daughter, Carla Almobayed in 2017. She is survived by three loving children, Dawn Hodum, Keith K. Hodum, and Richard K. Hodum, six beloved grandchildren, Yvonne (David), Michael Jr., Candice (Juan), Richard Jr., Krystina, and Matthew, and 10 adored great-grandchildren, Melinda, David Jr., Joslyn, Jasiah, Amina, Amanda, Mikey, Candice, Jayden, and Jiovanni.
