MAZZEI DiMURO, Barbara, age 52, of Garfield, died surrounded by her family on June 22, 2019. Born in Rome, Italy, she was six years old when she emigrated to the United States. She was raised in Garfield moving to Saddle Brook to raise her family settling back in Garfield a year ago. Barbara was a talented hairdresser and cosmetologist for the past 33 years starting her career at Ciro’s Hair Pavilion in Elmwood Park and currently at Total Concept in Wyckoff. Barbara was also an entrepreneur and inventor of the Safety Shield product used to protect homes from grill fires, and a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Bruno DiMuro, her devoted mother, Costantina “Dina” Mazzei, two beloved children, Lia and Julian DiMuro, her dear sisters, Elena Gentile and husband Tony, and Sandra LoManto and husband Rob, and her dog, Dollie. She was also the special aunt of Stephen Gentile, David Gentile, Sabrina Gentile, Ava LoManto and Serena LoManto, and a dear cousin and friend of many. Barbara is predeceased by her father, Enrico Mazzei and her dog, Oliver. The Funeral Mass is 11 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
