Obituary for Mary LiBrizzi (Barcelona)

LiBRIZZI, Mary (nee Barcelona), age 94, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on September 3, 2019. Mary was a waitress for over 30 years working for Barcelona's and Pip's in Garfield and the Wallington Exchange in Wallington before becoming a supervisor 15 years at Springfield Instruments in Hackensack retiring in 1990. Mary was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church where she was a member of the TAMS at the school, was a member of the AARP and her high school group, Raven Co-eds. She is predeceased by her husband, Jack in 1978, her children, Andrea LiBrizzi in 1997 and Anthony LiBrizzi in 2013, her longtime companion, Herbert Beswick in 2019, and her siblings, Ciro, Frank, Jack, Peter, and Anthony Barcelona, Grace DeSimone, Josephine Pinto and Millie Marino. Mary is survived by two children, Denise LiBrizzi and husband Jules Bosch, and Salvatore LiBrizzi, 6 grandchildren, David LiBrizzi, Karen DiMaria, Melissa Bosch, Justin Bosch, Jessica and Eric LiBrizzi, 2 great-grandchildren, Andrew and Jaclyn LiBrizzi, a daughter-in-law, Madeline LiBrizzi and her daughter Maria Russo, and two siblings, Catherine Librizzi and Joseph Barcelona and wife Katherine. Visiting Friday, September 6, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Saturday, September 7, 2019, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Bergen County Habitat for Humanity.
