BUREK, Angela “Angie” (nee Jaskot), age 90, of Garfield, died on September 20, 2019. Born in Passaic, she lived there briefly before settling in Garfield for most of her life. Angie was the payroll administrator 25 years for the Garfield Board of Education retiring in 1999, a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church, Garfield, and a member of the Garfield AARP and Women’s Club. She is predeceased by her husband, Stanley in 2015, and her siblings, Joseph Jaskot, Stella Demeter, Mary Chmura, Millie Dudas, Rose Gasnik, John Jaskot, and Helen Chamberlain. She is survived by her loving children, Barbara and Carol Burek, her beloved pets, and she was a special aunt to several nieces and nephews. The funeral is Wednesday, September 25, 2019, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am chapel service. Interment St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for the National Foundation for Animal Rescue in Mahwah, GARF, and the All Humane Animal Rescue in Wanaque.
