Maria del Carmen Gonzalez Aras “Granny”, age 98, of Bergenfield, died on October 20, 2019. She was born and resided in Asiento Viejo, Cuba for 20 years emigrating to New York in 1941 settling in Bergenfield 50 years ago. She was a seamstress many years before retiring. Carmen is survived by a son, Luis I. Gonzalez and wife Irene, four grandchildren, Mary Wiese, David Gonzalez (LoriAnn), Michael Leon and Jeremy Gonzalez, 5 great-grandchildren, Heather Pena (Christopher), Ashly Gonzalez, Amber Wiese, Sofia Leon, and Marco Leon, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Loralie, Hailee Blaik, and Luna.
