Elizabeth Netts Garcia, 96, of Bergenfield, New Jersey passed away peacefully at her home following a brief period of illness. Betty, as she was known to friends and family, was born on April 6th, 1923 in Dover, Ohio, the daughter of Stanley and Mary Netts. Betty graduated from Bogota High School and then from Wittenberg University in 1944. After graduation, Betty worked for a number of years in the Bursar’s office of the Cathedral of Saint John the Devine, in New York City. In 1948 Betty married E. Gregory Garcia and moved to Bergenfield. Betty is survived by her two daughters, Suzanne Melbourne, now residing in Abilene, Texas, Terry Garcia, who resides in Bergenfield, her brother, Jonathan Netts, a resident of Palm Coast, Florida, and her two grandchildren, Meredith and Austin Dennis. Betty had many passions in life, foremost was her love and affection for her family and all her friends, but, beyond this, perhaps her next two favorites were horseback riding and playing bridge. Following cremation, Betty will be interred at a later date in a family plot in Springfield, Ohio
