Zondag, Shawn L., age 48, a lifelong resident of Elmwood Park, died peacefully on November 29, 2019. He was a subcontractor in the window industry over 30 years recently working for Renewal by Anderson in Cranford, was a former Elmwood Park Volunteer Fireman with Company 4, a member of the Oldsmobile Owners Car Club - NJ Chapter, an avid car enthusiast, and a former Boy Scout with the Bergen Division. He is survived by his devoted wife of 22 years, Jean M. Zondag, three loving children, Dominic, Krysti, and Cody, a dear sister, Melanie Dickson, his parents, and his mother Jean Ricco. He was also the cherished uncle of Samantha, Christian, and Alexander, great-uncle of Aubree, and Godfather to Donya Walters and James Sellitti. Memorial visiting will be 4 to 7 pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial gifts.
