Obituary

Faustina (Fannie) Piccione, age 94, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, passed away December 19, 2019, in the comfort of her home. Born in Passaic, NJ to Louis J. Piccione, Sr. and Lucille (Farenga) Piccione. She was a wonderful loving mother, member of the Catholic Church, worked as a restaurant manager and also was a realtor associate member. She had a flare for writing, loved to sculpt and had a passion for music and dancing. Her family was her true joy, a kind a gentle person with a beautiful smile, who will be missed greatly! Her strength and courage were always there when we needed them. We will always feel her presence with us.
Fannie is survived by five loving children, H. Peter Alesso, and his wife Christine, Linda J. Alesso, Louis M. Alesso, wife Carol, Valerie J. Alesso Gonzales and husband Anthony, and Barbara A. "We have a choice, we can go with it, or break free, and determine what it is you prefer. No matter which way you go, it’s best to accept your choice, and make it work for you, so that you will be happy, and live a full life."

While we were growing up, our family faced many hardships. Through those dark days whenever she was asked, "What are we going to do?" She would laugh and sing, "Que sera sera." She had the courage to live to 94 and was an inspiration to us all.

We will always keep her in our hearts to remind us why family matters.

I will always remember my Mother-in-Law as a strong woman with a love for life. She loved music & dancing, laughter & making others happy. I'll always admire how she raised a caring & loving family despite all of the hardships that were thrown her way. Rest in Peace, you'll always remain in our hearts.

Mom wrote this passage from a Mother’s perspective, one of her many very well written thoughts and feelings!

“She gave you your first breath, she quitted your first cry.
She nursed you through your Beginning. She silenced your fears, while cuddling your totally helpless emotional Being. She poured her soul into your gazing eyes, which always searched for answers. She consoled you through the sleepless nights, and spurred you on each day to learn life’s lessons. She taught you to stand, and kissed away the hurt, when you fell. You always ran to her for protection, which somehow you knew instinctively, you would find. You did not have to follow a blueprint. This was your reward for BEING!

She filled your soul with laughter while tickling your toes, and rubbing out all the aches in your soft little bones daily, until you look up at her, with thankful eyes, that revealed the whole unspoken alphabet”.

Mom and I always talked about our Spiritual connection, our believe that there is more to life
your Loving Son, Lou, “MAY GOD BLESS YOU FOREVER”

Psalm 23 of David

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever and ever.
Amen.
