La FRANCA, Angela (nee Guastella), age 86, of Lodi, passed peacefully on December 25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Misilmeri, Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 25 years before emigrating to the US in 1958. She resided in Staten Island 5 years and Garfield for 32 years before settling in Lodi 23 years ago. Angela was a dressmaker 39 years for I.L.G.W.U - Passaic Local 145 retiring in 1982 and she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield and St. Joseph’s Church in Lodi. She is predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1995, her daughter-in-law, Paola in 2015, and her siblings, Pietro and Giacinto Guastella. She is survived by her devoted son, Deacon Anthony La Franca, four cherished grandchildren, Angela M., Carmela (Michael), Joseph, and Christina La Franca, and her extended family and friends, Giacomo and Rosa Favia, Patricia Moreno, and Eileen Carlstadt. Visiting Friday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Saturday, December 28, 2019, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:00 am followed by a 9:00 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Angela’s name to Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield.
