SCHERER, Sally L., age 70, of South Plainfield, passed away on March 16, 2020. She was born in Newark, grew up in Fords, and graduated from JFK High School. She was retired from Woodbridge Township where she worked as an administrative clerk, and was a member of the Metuchen Assembly of God. Sally had a generous spirit and was always willing to help someone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert N. and Phyllis Scherer, brother, Henry Scherer (April), niece, Andrea Scherer, and brother in-law, James Cole. She is survived by two brothers, Robert L. Scherer (Lynne) and Arthur Scherer, a sister, Barbara Cole (James), and eleven nieces and nephews, Rob, Allison, Aaron, Emerson, Melissa, Tiffany, Christopher, Nicholas, Brittany, Tabitha, and Natalie, and a number of loving relatives and close friends. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
