Obituary for Thomas Manzo

MANZO, Thomas, age 78, of Elmwood Park, died on April 3, 2020. Born and raised in Paterson for 12 years, he moved to Garfield for 40 years settling in Elmwood Park 26 years ago. He worked most of his life as a salesman retiring from American Tube in Union, NJ. In his retirement, he drove a school bus 10 years for Scholastic Bus Company in Fair Lawn. Thomas was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church in Garfield, and he was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army receiving the Good Conduct Medal and Expert Rifle Medal. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose “Millie” (nee Bertola), three children, James Manzo and wife Fran, Stacy Zaccone and husband Stephen, and Charles Manzo and wife Alla, and six grandchildren, Thomas and fiancé Kathy, Aaron, Justin, Miranda, Sofia, and Nicolas. Thomas was adored by all was most proud to be a loving husband, father, grandfather, cousin, uncle, and friend to all. All services were privately held with his burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
