Obituary for Edna Mae Auffinger (Geer)
AUFFINGER, Edna Mae (nee Geer), age 70, of Garfield, peacefully passed away on April 1, 2020. Born in Teaneck, she resided most of her life in Garfield. A devoted mother of two and strong fighter until her final days when she succumbed to Covid-19 at Valley Hospital. She is predeceased by her father Raymond Walter Geer, her mother Jean Emily Kucharski, and beloved husband Harry Auffinger Jr.(2001), who she missed dearly. Edna is survived by her loving daughter Jennifer Yenikomshuyan, son-in-law Levon Yenikomshuyan, daughter Lisa Geer, Sister Mary Geer, brothers Dennis Geer and Walter Geer.
Edna was a loving Mother and Sister who always loved to spend time with her family and play Bingo with her friends. She loved traveling the state to visit her favorite lighthouses, and being the life of any party. Edna will be remembered by her family and friends for her sense of humor, gentle heart, and big smile.
