GEBBIA, Maria (nee Diertl), age 92, of Rockaway, died on April 21, 2020. Born and raised in Hieflau, Austria, for 19 years, she emigrated to the United States living in Lodi settling in Rockaway 54 years ago. Maria was a homemaker and a parishioner of Sacred Heart RC Church, Rockaway. Maria is predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph in 1984, a granddaughter, Carrie Brancato, and three siblings, Fritz Diertl, Geisi Marplis, and Gertrude Lambacher. She is survived by two devoted daughters, Linda Brancato and Jodie Gebbia Dunker and husband Aaron, three loving grandchildren, Aimee Brancato, Rebecca DeMouth (Everett), and Joelene Malaret and husband Alex, six cherished great-grandchildren, Lucia, Lucas, Ariel, Anya, Logan, and Maximus, and three dear siblings, Franz Diertl, Bertha Lucosky, and Erika Verola.
