Obituary for Antonia "Toni" Garcia

Ms. Antonia Garcia “Toñi”, daughter of the late Miguel Garcia and Beatriz
Mendez was born November 10, 1949 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She attended the
public schools of Dra Maria Casilla de Martinez in Arecibo, Puerto Rico and was
a graduate of Colegio Royal in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. She lived in Puerto Rico
until she moved to Passaic, New Jersey on May 28, 1990 for a better life. She
remained in New Jersey until June of 2003 when she moved to Portage, Indiana
to be close to her son and grandchildren. She worked hard to provide for her
three sons. She took pride in her work and dedicated 23 years to Terrza Law
Firm in Puerto Rico. She retired from Jubilee Child Care in Hobart, Indiana as a
Preschool Teacher, where she loved to teach and take care of so many children.
She was married to Jose Del Valle on December 6, 1969. This union was blessed
with one child Erik. Jose Del Valle preceded her in death November 17, 2019 She
was married to Eliezer Piñeiro Serrano on June 5, 1978. This union was blessed
with two children Eloy and Angel.
Ms. Garcia was an active member of Road To Life Church where she served in
the children’s department. She quietly departed this life Saturday, April 25, 2020
at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, New Jersey. She was preceded in
death by her sister Carmen Garcia and brother Roberto Garcia “Canario”.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Erik
(Priscilla) Del Valle of Portage, Indiana, Eloy F. (Jessica) Piñeiro of Kearny, New
Jersey, Angel F. Piñeiro (Khristina Givens) of Henderson, Las Vegas; and eight
grandchildren who she loved so deeply Nahtasha Del Valle, Jeremy Calderon,
Enrique Del Valle, Francisco Piñeiro, Alexander Piñeiro, Azea Piñeiro, Aiyden
Piñeiro, Khristopher Piñeiro; brother, Miguel Garcia “Pucho”, brother, Pedro
Garcia “Toto”, sister, Angelita Garcia, brother, Salvador Garcia “Cuqui”, brother,
Hector Garcia “Papote”, sister, Ana Garcia “Annie”, and a host of devoted nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
