TRELA, Wieslaw Tomasz, AGE 69, of Garfield, passed away in his home on May 22, 2020. He was born in Turbia, Poland on December 21, 1950 to the late Jozef and Filomena (nee Paterek) Trela. He first worked at Nowa Huta in Stalowa Wola, Poland before immigrating to the United States in the early 80's, working as a machinist and welder. He was a longtime supporter of SC Vistula in Garfield, becoming president of the soccer club in the 90's. In the past 10 years, he was sole proprietor of Lasovia Limousine based in Garfield. Wieslaw is survived by his three children, Monika Ekiert, Bartlomiej Trela, and Robert Trela, his grandson Lucas Ekiert, and three siblings in Poland, Zbigniew, Jerzy and Zdislawa. He was predeceased by his two siblings, Lucjan and Krystyna. A memorial service in Poland will be announced at a future date.
