DeFRANCO, Julia (nee Soccio), age 102, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died on July 2, 2020 surrounded by her devoted family. Julia was a seamstress 50 years retiring in 1980 from The Betmar Hat Company in Passaic, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows RC Church, Garfield, and a member of the I.L.G.W.U. - Passaic Local. Julia is predeceased by her beloved husband, Jack in 2000, and six siblings, Patsy, Adam, Albert, and Madeline Soccio, Phyllis Sasso, and Angie De Bonte. She is survived by her loving daughter, Jean Nayda, three beloved grandchildren, Ronald Nayda and wife Beverly, Patricia Nayda and Patricia Kavinski, and two cherished great-grandchildren, Ronald and Michelle. Visiting Sunday 2 to 6 pm. The funeral is Monday, July 6, 2020, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at St. Francis de Sales RC Church, Lodi.
