SASSANO, Dominick C., age 84, of Rochelle Park, died on October 8, 2020. Born in Garfield, he lived there 17 years and Ridgewood 38 years settling in Rochelle Park 19 years ago. Dominick served in the US Air Force, and became an engineer and lab supervisor of the Aerospace Division working 40 years at Bendix Corporation in Teterboro retiring in 2000. Dominick was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, and a member of the Usher Society. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 44 years, Annie (nee Ellis) in 2014, his brother, Daniel, and his sister, Phyllis. He is survived by three devoted children, Monica Sassano, Paul and wife Mary, and Patrick and wife Janel, three adored grandchildren, John Edmund, Abigail Claire, and Gabrielle Anne, and he was a dear brother to John and wife Lorraine, and Margaret Walsh. All services were privately held with his interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date.
