It has been a week since you’ve been gone and I still can’t believe it. I miss you so much. It is all the little things that I am going to miss the most like you helping me with my weekly football picks & March Madness picks, coming over to hang out with your cousins when you were bored, bringing you food when your Dad & Mom go to Rhode Island, seeing you standing in the driveway waiting for me to pick you up to go to grandma’s because I was leaving early and your mom was not ready to leave yet, baking cakes for you or getting you a bowl of strawberries & blueberries, watching TV with you, getting texts from you, playing poker, simply seeing you comfortably sit in my family room maybe doing nothing but just enjoying being here, talking to you about sports, seeing Luna run up to you with excitement & worry when she jumped on you that she would jump on the dialysis port or the fistula, seeing you walk in my front door every Christmas morning for our traditional family breakfast, spending every holiday together & I will especially miss hearing your voice say “Auntie”. I have always told you how much joy you brought to my life & I treasure the fact that you knew being your aunt was one of my favorite roles in life & living in the same town made it easy for me to go to almost every sport game you ever played in. I know you are smiling down on us knowing how much you were loved & how proud you made our family. My heart is broken but I have comfort knowing your are at Peace. I love you my beautiful nephew Jimmy & you will always live on in the memories of our beautiful close family.

Rest in the sweetest peace to my childhood hero, my cousin Jimmy. I wish we could have had more than 28 years of you with us, but God called you to heaven so you could finally be at peace (on All Saints Day), so I know you are sitting up in heaven with Old Pop-Pop playing checkers.
Thank you for making mine and all the cousins childhood the most special. Always coming up with games to play and beating the hand in Super Smash Bros because nobody else was able to. Thanks for letting me be on your whiffle ball team because you were always the best and I was the worst. You were such an amazing athlete and I loved watching you play football so much. My favorite memory was being the water boy in 7th grade while you were a senior at the State Championship Game at MetLife. You will live forever in my heart. You were a leader of all leaders to us, but now you can guide us in heaven. Watch over us and keep us safe. We will all miss you so much. I am glad you are at peace now.

I don’t know where to begin but in just 2 minutes its impossible to tell everyone how amazing jimmy really was and his impact on all of us. One thing I can attest to though is that I would not be where I am today without him. I can speak on behalf of my sister, my brother and all my cousins that he has helped shape us into the people we are today. Jimmy was our first, he was our leader, he was the one that made up all our games, he was the one that showed us how everything worked, he was the one that went through everything first and paved the way for the rest of us. We all are and were competitive athletes at some point in our lives. Sports have helped some of us get to college, sports have given us our best friends, sports have created us into the people we are today. And honestly that was because of Jimmy. Jimmy instilled his competitive nature in all of us. He taught us, probably without even knowing, what it takes to be a leader. He showed us what it takes to be a champion. First in the family to really win an impressive championship game, and he did it under the big lights. Jimmy was a champ, I was always so proud to tell people that Jimmy is my cousin. That will never change. The things I would do to hear you “neh” your mom again or say “lets go rams” one more time. I love you Jimmy.. I hope you’re in the sweetest peace right now. You’re paving the way for the rest of us just like you used to. I’m thankful to have two amazing, brave and strong cousins watching over me now. RIP 32.

I'm so terribly sorry, Sandy and Jim, and Joey and Anthony. I know Jimmy was so close with all of his Reidel and Sciuto cousins, aunts and uncles, and of course his grandparents. I am thinking of all of you and sending my love.
