Obituary for Salvatore Pollaro

POLLARO, Salvatore, age 76, of Wayne, died on November 6, 2020. Born in Passaic, he lived there 27 years moving to Garfield 6 years and Lodi 39 years settling in Wayne 4 years ago. Salvatore worked 48 years for the City of Passaic - Department of Public Works retiring in 2007, was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Lodi where he was active in the St. Joseph’s Society and Immaculate Conception, and he was a member of the St. Anthony Society, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Society, and the San Pio Society, all of Garfield. Salvatore is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Maria (nee Vella), his loving son, Antonino and wife Francesca, three cherished grandchildren, Lucia, Laura, and Joseph, and a brother, Michael. He is predeceased by his siblings, Thomas Pollaro, Jean Ribaudo and Mary Orgillio. Visiting Monday 5 to 9 pm. The funeral is Tuesday, November 10, 2020, arriving 9:30 am at the Aloia Funeral Home followed by a 10:30 am mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Lodi. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
