Obituary for Geraldine "Geri" Fornari

FORNARI, Geraldine “Geri” (nee Montemarano), age 78, of Fair Lawn, died on January 2, 2021. Born in Passaic, she lived in Garfield settling in Fair Lawn over 50 years ago. She owned and operated since she was 17 years old Gerry’s Beauty Salon, first in Paterson, then Fair Lawn retiring in 2008. In her retirement, she sold hand bags and shawls for Julia Rose Accessories, LLC. Geri was a lifelong parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield where her great-grandfather, Louis Marrone, was one of the original founders. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Antonino, three devoted children, Daria Diani and husband Brian, Joseph Fornari, and Jennifer Maurer and husband Matthew, four cherished grandchildren, Louie, Jonny, Gianna, and Anthony, and her adored granddog, Chase. She is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Rose Montemarano. Visiting Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Thursday, January 7, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
