LUTERZO, Joan “Joansy” (nee Biss), age 54, of Lodi, died on February 26, 2021. Born in Oradell, she was raised in Fair Lawn moving to Garfield and settling in Lodi 24 years ago. She was a cosmetologist, and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Joan is survived by a daughter, Christie Marie Paz Soldan and husband Ronald, two beloved grandchildren, Jayden Catania and Lucius Reynaga-Paz Soldan, her mother, Joan Biss, two sisters, Jan Mondello and husband Richard and Karen Biss, and her former husband Thomas Luterzo. She is predeceased by her daughter, Kelly Luterzo in 2017, her father, Steven Biss, and a brother, Jacob Biss. The Memorial Mass will 12 pm on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church, Garfield. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial gifts.
