Obituary for Angelo Tempio

TEMPIO, Angelo, age 95, of Saddle Brook, died on March 15, 2021. Born and raised in Garfield for 44 years, he lived in Lodi 44 years settling in Saddle Brook seven years ago. He was an Army Veteran of WWII decorated with a Purple Heart and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and a member of the Lodi VFW Post 5082 serving as their Past Commander. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales RC Church, Lodi, and an avid card player. He is predeceased by his wife, Catherine in 2011, a granddaughter, Stephanie Demytrk in 2019, two sisters and four brothers. He is survived by his devoted daughters, Kathleen Demytrk and husband Bill Gula, and Frances Tempio, a brother, David Tempio and wife AnnMarie, three cherished grandchildren, Christina Demytrk, Sara Husted and husband Matt, and Elizabeth Gula, adored “Big Pop Pop” to Jayden, Ellie, Archer, and Peter, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting Thursday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Friday, March 19, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at St. Francis de Sales RC Church, Lodi.
