SERPA, Dennis J., age 54, of Jupiter, FL, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021. Dennis was born in Providence, RI and at 15 his family relocated to Florida. After several military moves, Dennis, his wife, and children lived in Virginia for 15 years before settling in Florida in 2014. He is a USAF Veteran and after an honorable discharge obtained his ADN in 1991 and his BSN in 1995. He was a RN, BSN with Sentara Healthcare in Virginia until retiring in 2014. In his free time Dennis enjoyed watching Braves and/or New York Giants games and spent countless hours boating with family and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Eileen Serpa in 2012, his sister, Susan Serpa in 2015, and his father, William Serpa in 2019. Dennis is survived by five cherished grandchildren, four loving children, Lauren, Kevin and Steven Serpa, and Kimi Smith, two dear siblings, William Serpa and Sharon Wekenmann, and his doting mother, Helen Serpa. Visiting will be from 9 AM to 9:30 AM on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield followed by a 9:30 AM Mass. Immediately following mass, entombment to take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests that only family members of Dennis Serpa attend the services, but plans to make video footage available to those unable to attend. The Serpa family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). Condolences/Directions visit aloiafuneral.com
