Obituary for Louis Pacifico

PACIFICO, Louis, age 88, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died peacefully surrounded by his family on April 25, 2021. Louis was the last licensed peddler in the State of NJ, where he was a welcomed part of the community as he delivered Louis Pacifico’s Fruits and Vegetables on his school bus over 40 years retiring in 1994. Louis was a faithful parishioner of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. He is predeceased by his devoted wife of 42 years, Antoinette “Nana” (nee Cangialosi), and siblings, Michael Pacifico, Daniel Pacifico, Anthony Pacifico, and Madeline Pinto. He is survived by his three loving children, James (late wife Mary in 2010), Louis (wife Sandra), and Lorriane Pacifico, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Pacifico, Jaime Pacifico, Tara Pacifico, Tracy DiRese, Louis James Pacifico (and wife Nicole), Lindsey Pacifico, and Emily Papay, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Perri, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visiting Tuesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, April 28, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
