RANELI, Sergio, age 74, of Little Ferry, died on June 18, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Rome, Italy for 24 years, he emigrated to the United States living in Garfield, Hoboken and Ridgefield Park, settling in Little Ferry 32 years ago. He owned and operated many establishments including Marie's Bakery in Hoboken, La Bella Pizzeria in Fairview and LoSpuntino in Ridgewood over 30 years retiring at the age of 65, and he served in the Italian Armed Services. Sergio is predeceased by his parents, Guido and Martina. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 47 years, Anna (nee Pestrichella), three beloved children, Marcella Minervini and husband Leo, Sergio G. Raneli and wife Francesca, and Elizabeth Triano and husband Nicholas, seven grandchildren, Valentina, Sebastian, Alexander, Camilla, Olivia, Ella, and Landon, and two sisters, Graziella Testa and Anna Agnesi. Visiting Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Thursday, June 24, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield.
