TENCZA, Thomas E. "Tommy", age 74, of Garfield, died on September 29, 2021. Born in Passaic, he lived most of his life in Garfield. Thomas was a roofer retiring from JP Patti Roofing in Saddle Brook, and previously, he worked for Hackensack Roofing, Hackensack and Hayden Roofing, West Nyack, NY. He was a member of the United Union of Roofers - Local 8 in NY and the 20th Century Field Breakfast Club, Garfield. He is predeceased by his wife, Sharon Tencza, his parents, Adam and Mildred, and his brother, Adam. Thomas is survived by his devoted daughter, Tamara Tencza and husband Aldo Mattessich, two dear brothers, Bruce Tencza and wife Chris and Kenny Tencza, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews that all loved Uncle “T”. Visiting Friday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Saturday, October 2, 2021, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:15 am chapel service. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook.
