LONIS, Michael, age 56, of Wallington, died on November 9, 2021. Born and raised in Athens, Greece he lived there for 29 years before emigrating to the United States. He then lived in Elmwood Park for 25 years settling in Wallington two years ago. He served in the Greek Army as a young adult, and was a painter 27 years owning Lucky Michael’s Painting in Wallington. Michael is predeceased by his brother, Christos Lonis in 2020 and brother-in-law, William Sotiropoulos in 2003. He is survived by his fiancé of four years, Debra Candella-DeVuyst with her son James Giordano (fiancé Madison Knapp), a sister, Joanna Sotiropoulos, and he was the uncle of Valerie, Spiros, and Dimitrios Sotiropoulos. Visiting Sunday 2 to 4 pm with a 3:45 pm chapel service. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers the family will accept memorial donations.
