MEALIA, Lucy (nee Shortino), age 87, of Lodi formerly of Saddle Brook, died on January 18, 2022. Lucy was a homemaker and a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield where she was a member of the Parish Life and the Feast Committees, and she was a member of the Ladies that Lunch, Saddle Brook. She is predeceased by a brother, Joseph Shortino and wife Johanna, her parents, Sam and Jean Shortino, and her husband, Martin “Mickey”. She is survived by her sister, Josephine Pesick (Joseph), she was the loving aunt to Susan Poreman (Mark), Michael Pesick (Lesley), and Samantha Rhode (Fred), and great-aunt to Ethan, Chloe, Payton, Dylan, and Braden. Everyone will meet 11 am on Thursday, January 20, 2022 for her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield.
