DI FRESCO, Rosa (nee LaDuca), age 83, of Garfield, died on February 6, 2022. Born and raised in Bolognetta, Sicily-Italy for 48 years, she emigrated to the United States settling in Garfield 35 years ago. Rosa was a homemaker, a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church and a member of the St. Anthony Women's Auxiliary, both of Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Arcangelo in 2018. Rosa is survived by three devoted children, Carmelo Di Fresco and wife Michelle, Santa Manfredi and husband Alan, and Francesca Urzo and husband Frank, eight beloved grandchildren, Angelo, Staci, Hanna, Danny, Alexis, Alec, Cynthia, and Vinny, one adored great-grandchild, Landon, and two dear brothers, Gaspare La Duca and wife Josephine and Francesco LaDuca and wife Maria. Visiting Tuesday 3 to 7 pm. The funeral is Wednesday, February 9, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8 am followed by a 9 am mass at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family will accept memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
