Upon graduation from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School he served two years in the United States Air Force as a Captain and was stationed in Greenland. After honorable discharge, he returned home to New Jersey and joined his father’s (Alvin) dental practice in Jamesburg, NJ. After his father’s passing, he remained in private practice for more than 45 years until January 2021. He had many wonderful friendships with his patients and always took the time to listen to their needs. He was very well liked by all the professionals in town, as well as all his patients.

Throughout his lifetime, he traveled extensively and shared many adventures with his loving wife, Rosemarie. He loved to read the NY Times every morning. He loved attending family gatherings, including those hosted by his sister Jill (Mark Frankel) and especially enjoyed sampling new foods. He was always interested in engaging in conversation – on any subject-- with everyone that he encountered.

His gentle, kind, outgoing personality lit up a room – laughter was always abundant when Barry entered a room. He had a zest for life and never grew tired of learning. His curiosity was unwavering. He enjoyed celebrating milestones as well as ordinary times with his nephew, niece, all the grandchildren and his great nieces.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie, her children, Michael Menz (Eileen ), Michelle Orzol ( Michael ), grandchildren, Jake, Evan, Kaitlyn and Christopher, his nephew, Andrew Frankel, his niece, Erika Frankel (Josh Seftel ) grand nieces, Lillian and Madeline, an aunt & several cousins. He will be sorely missed by family, lifelong friends and everyone who touched his life.
