Obituary for Mildred Adamo (Realmonte)

ADAMO, Mildred “Millie” (nee Realmonte), age 92, of Fair Lawn, died on April 29, 2022. Born and raised in Marineo, Sicily for 19 years, before coming to America and settling in Garfield then moving to Fair Lawn over 15 years ago. Mildred was a devoted mother who first worked as a seamstress before becoming a nurse’s aide at Bergen Regional Medical Center. Millie was a choir member and parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin RC Church, a member of the St. Ciro Society, and the Live Wires of Fair Lawn. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony in 1975, her cherished daughter, Lena Marie in 2013, and three siblings, Sadie Fragale-Nucifora, Rosa Frasca, and Charles Realmonte. She is survived by four adored children, Joseph Adamo and wife Alice, Pastor Anthony Adamo, Jr. and wife Pastor Tammy, Susan Streaser and husband Terry, and Adrianne Adamo, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and three siblings, Peter Realmonte, Frances DeBlasio, and Sarah Roberts. The funeral is Tuesday, May 3, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 12 pm chapel service. Private interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi.
