DeJESUS FIGUEROA, Delia Luz, age 75, of Newton, died on June 23, 2022. Born and raised in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, she came to the United States in 1972 living in the Bronx for 40 years. She then moved to New Jersey living in Garfield and Lodi for eight years settling in Newton two years ago. She worked as a lunch aide for the New York City Board of Education, and was the matriarch of her family. Delia is predeceased by her parents, Monserrate and Eusebia DeJesus. She is survived by three devoted children, Delimay Figueroa Paredes (Raphael), Dorian Figueroa, Jr., and Deborah Figueroa (Ray Camacho), her husband, Dorian Figueroa, Sr., five loving grandchildren, Tina Ardizzone (Salvatore), Justin Ramos (Samantha), Joshua Ramos (Aisa), Dorian Figueroa, III (Cassie) and Aaliyah Suarez, and seven adored great-grandchildren. Visiting Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm with a 8 pm chapel service. The funeral is Wednesday, June 29, 2022, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am leaving for interment at 10 am in St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
