Obituary for William Damian Bartos

BARTOS, William Damien, a loving brother and uncle, age 66, of Garfield, sadly passed away at his home on Monday, August 1, 2022.

William, known as Bill or Billy to his family and friends, was born on December 10, 1955 to William Joseph Bartos and Marie (Isza) Bartos in Passaic. Bill was raised and lived most of his life in Clifton. He graduated from Clifton High School - Class of 1973. Growing up, he was an avid parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle RC Church in Clifton, and worked his entire career for White Rose Trucking LLC in Elizabeth, up until his retirement in 2008.

Bill always rejoiced in getting together with his family. Through the years, he looked forward to Sunday dinners with his sisters and their families. He was fond of seeing his nieces and their families, and once gaining great nephews and great nieces, he always enjoyed being around them. Family celebrations, and holidays were important to him; especially Christmas and Fourth of July in the Poconos. He also loved his companion, Joann Patrisso, where they enjoyed many moments together.

He is predeceased by his parents, William and Marie Bartos, and brother-in-law, Walter Hrebeniuk.

Billy is survived by his sisters, Lorraine Spoto and husband Russell, and Maryann Hrebeniuk. He is also survived by nieces, Dawn Schiaffino, Kelly McEnerney, Lisa VandeVrede and Amy Hildebrand, as well as great nephews and great nieces, Tyler, Ava, Liam, John, Colin, Allison, Katherine, Ashley, Teddy and Caroline.
