FLORKEVICZ, Edward, age 80, of Garfield, died on September 22, 2022. Born in Paterson, Edward was raised in Fair Lawn settling in Garfield many years ago. He worked in the roofing industry 40 years owning and operating a roofing company and worked with Kovach Roofing Company in Pequannock before retiring. He was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, was a former body builder, and avid Jazz guitar player and a teacher of guitar lessons. Edward is predeceased by his son, Christopher Florkevicz in 1996, his wife, Rita Alice Florkevicz (nee Salvio) in 2014, and his parents, Lena and Edward Florkevicz. He is survived by two children, Susan Florkevicz and Joseph Florkevicz, a sister, Elaine Lynch and husband Charles, his beloved cat, Winnie Pooh,, his former wife, Carol Colucci, he was the uncle of Pat, Ryan, and Kelley Lynch, and great-uncle of Dillon. Memorial Visiting Monday 6 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be private on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting memorial gifts.
