Obituary for Lowell Pace

Lowell Pace, affectionately known as "West", age 69, of Passaic, received his final call from our Lord & Savior and entered eternal peace on November 22,2022.

West was born in Tuskegee, Alabama on August 7, 1953 to the late Roosevelt, Sr. & Maude Pace (nee Philpot). He eventually relocated to Passaic, NJ where he lived his adult life and met his devoted wife Joann Simmons (Pace). West made it known that he while he loved Passaic, he also never forgot about his roots, often still expressing his love for Tuskegee, Alabama. West received his formal education through the Tuskegee School system. He also graduated from Apex Technical School of New York and received a certification in HVAC before being employed by SEARS in Maywood for 27 years.

West was a Jack-of-all-trades, frequently with the ability to fix many things, while also showing a real dedication towards helping anyone in need. In addition, he loved traveling back to his home town to visit family and friends. He also loved to draw and was an exceptional artist. West Strived to give his time, compassion, & knowledge to many others that he met & loved. As a result, throughout his life, he built many unbreakable bonds & life-long relationships. West had a genuine heart. He will be truly missed

He is survived by his devoted Wife: Joann Pace, Sons: Eugene & Darrell, Daughter: Nicole(his Pumkin), Son-in-law: Dwayne Thorpe, Sr., Grandchildren: Nadir, Nijjah ("his Cookie), Dwaune, Ge’nia, Daijah, Daijon , D’Vonne, Imani, Devyn, Nasir, eight Great Grandchildren, Siblings: Helen, Maude Stowe, Joe Lewis, Pace (Darlene), Charlie Pace (Annie), Brothers-in-Laws: Elmer Jr., John, Arthur (Lorraine) and Jerome Simmons (Katherine), Sisters-in-law: Arlene, Judy , Naomi (Roger), and various nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

West was preceded in death by both of his Parents: Roosevelt, Sr. & Maude Pace, Brothers: Roosevelt Pace, Jr., Lee Pace, Lorenzo Pace and Sisters: Nadine Pace (Williams), Mary Joyce Grant, Mildred Brooks and Marva Stowe. And Grandson: Dwayne Thorpe, Jr.

As per his request, Lowell will be privately cremated with his Memorial Vervice on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 1 to w PM followed by his Memorial Service from 2 to 3 PM.
