ROBERTS, Sarah (nee Realmonte), age 86, of Garfield, died on December 28, 2022. Born and raised in Marineo, Sicily-Italy for 11 years, she emigrated to the United States settling in Garfield 75 years ago. She was a parishioner of Most Holy Name RC Church, and a lifelong seamstress over 60 years working with Irving Sportswear in Garfield moving to Milton Decorator Fabrics in Lodi retiring in 2010. She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years, William in 2008, siblings, Sadie Fragale Nucifora, Mildred Adamo, Maria Rose Frasca, Charles and Peter Realmonte, and her former husband, Patsy Verile. She is survived by two loving children, Pat Verile and wife Valerie, and Madeline De Bonis and husband Bob, five cherished grandchildren, Daniel and wife Nicole, Matthew and wife Tracy, Jacquelyn and husband Mike, Jordana and husband Joseph, and Justin, and six great-grandchildren, Sydney, Andrew, Julianna, Alexandra, Anthony and Nicholas, and a sister, Frances DeBlasio. She is also survived by a sisters-in-law, Patti DiGiorgio and husband Mario, Marie Realmonte and Elena Realmonte. Visiting Monday 4 to 8 pm. The funeral is Tuesday, January 3, 2023, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Most Holy Name RC Church, Garfield. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
