PAVONE, Alexander Joseph, age 77, of Garfield, died on May 16, 2023. Born and raised in Florence, Italy for eight years, he moved to Nutley living there for 24 years before settling in Garfield 45 years ago. Alexander served in the US Army working as a Medic in Texas and shortly after began his career as a warehouse manager. He worked with Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley and retired in 2019 from Dengel Industries in Hackesnack after 50 years in the industry. Alex was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, and was an avid bowler. He belonged to the Astro Lanes and the Van Houten Lanes Leagues where he competed for many years. He is predeceased by his parents, Mario and Ida Pavone. Alexander was the beloved husband of 45 years to Constance “Connie” (nee Gazzani), the devoted father of Marc Pavone, dear brother of Robert Pavone (Margie) and Sergio Pavone (Domenica) and an uncle to two nephews, Michael and Joseph Pavone.
