Obituary for Diane Teresa Wattley (Cramer)

Diane Teresa Wattley (née Cramer), of Ringwood, was reunited with her Lord and Savior on March 30, 2024, at the age of 85.

While Diane was born to earthly parents, Charles and Teresa Cramer, she did not live for this world, but for the next, with her eyes and heart fully set on the promises of her heavenly Father. January 31, 1939 in Fairview, NJ marked the beginning of a life devoted to Christ and her family. Meeting her future husband, Jim, while ice skating kicked off the creation of a family whose entire identity is in serving others. She built a warm home that always had an open door for families around the neighborhood, ready to share a meal, lend a listening ear or provide a shoulder to cry on.

She extended that constant provision of care throughout the years by praying on behalf of friends, family, and even those she had never met. Her focus on loving others was perhaps only challenged by her love of reading. It was always nearly impossible to find her without a book in her hands.

She is now reunited with Jim, her daughter Maribeth, her son, Michael, and her brother, Lawrence. She is survived by a family that embodies the best of her and will carry her love for others forward, including her brother Ronald, her son Peter, daughters Regina (Richard), Pamela (David), Kathleen (Michael) and Joanna (David). Her legacy will also live on through her 20 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Diane’s life during a service at Emergence Church, at 30 Carletondale Rd, Ringwood, NJ 07456, beginning at 11:00am ET, on May 4, 2024. In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane’s name may be made to RBC Ministries.

The Wattley family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home/Attentive Cremation Service, 180 Harrison Avenue, Garfield, New Jersey 07026 (973-340-7077). Condolences visit
