John J. Infantolino
INFANTOLINO, John J., age 91, a lifelong resident of Garfield, died quietly with family at his bedside on April 22, 2011. He served in the US Army as a Sergeant during WWII decorated with the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal, and he was a life member of the Clifton VFW Post 7165. Employed as a chemical operator, he worked 25 years for Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley retiring in 1985, and previously he worked at Foreman Mills in Garfield. He was a member of the Retiree Club of Hoffman LaRoche, and a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church in Garfield. He is predeceased by his parents, Edwardo and Benedetta, his brother, Michael, and two sisters, Sadie Piletterri and Catherine Sanna. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Isabella Elizabeth (nee Iachetta), three sons, Dr. Edward Infantolino and his wife Mary, Dr. John A. Infantolino and his wife Hannah, and Dr. Anthony Infantolino and his wife Lynne, a sister, Anna Concadora, nine grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth, Edward Jr., Catherine, John, Andrew, Christine, Lauren, Rachel, and Anthony Jr., a step-grandchild Amanda, three great-grandchildren, Sierra, Holden, and Vaughn, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral is Wednesday, April 27, 2011, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Lodi. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visiting Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for the Adorno Fathers, Ramsey and Our Lady of Mount Virgin RC Church in Garfield.
