FLORKEVICZ, Lena (nee Mastrogiovanni), age 93, of Florida, died on June 28, 2014. Born in Phillipsburg, NJ she lived there for 19 years moving to Paterson, Fair Lawn, and Garfield before settling two years ago in Port St. Lucie, FL. She was a seamstress with the I.L.G.W.U. - Paterson Local before retiring, and a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband Edward in 1963, her grandson, Christopher Florkevicz, and three sisters, Evelyn Crezzo, Edith Hitzel, Fina Newman. Dear mother of Elaine Lynch and Edward Florkevicz, Jr., mother-in-law of Charles Lynch, Carol Colucci, and Rita Florkevicz, loving sister of Mary Thomas and Janet Wieder, beloved grandmother of Susan Florkevicz, Joseph Florkevicz, Pat Lynch, Ryan Lynch, and Kelley Lynch, and a great-grandmother of Dillon. Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral is Monday, July 6, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 10 am followed by a 11 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment Calvary, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations for the Adler Aphasia Center, Maywood.
