Catherine Fasano (Florio)
FASANO, Catherine (nee Florio), age 89 of Garfield, died peacefully in her home with her adoring loved ones at her side on July 13, 2015. Catherine was born in 1925 to Anna (nee Bonario) and Anthony in their humble Garfield home. She was a loving and wonderful mother and friend to everyone. Her family meant everything to her. Many were touched by her selfless dedication to others, her strength, and unconditional love. They will always be blessed by her spirit. She was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield, a homemaker, and a member of the Elmwood Park Senior Social Club. She is predeceased by her husband, Samuel Fasano, Sr. in 1986, and three brothers, John, Joseph, and Anthony Florio, Jr. She is survived by her three children, Sandra Greco and husband John, Sr., Samuel Fasano, Jr., and Dawn Hicks and her husband Heath, five grandchildren, Natalie and husband Chris, John Jr., Samantha, Skylar, and Spencer, and three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan, and Brooke. Visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Friday, July 17, 2015, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. The Fasano family is in the care of the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave., Garfield (973-340-7077). Condolences/Directions visit aloiafuneral.com
