BRIGANTI, Antonina (nee Tegoletto), age 93, of Garfield, died on September 22, 2015. Born in Marineo, Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 40 years and Garfield the past 53 years. She was a member of the St. Ciro Society, and a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, both of Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Salvatore “Ciro” in 2007, a son-in-law, Peter Barcia, two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children, Rosa Barcia, Ciro Briganti, Joseph Briganti and wife Josephine, Maria Guadagno and husband Ralph, and Carmelo and wife Tracey, a brother, Salvatore Tegoletto, 15 grandchildren, Joseph, Peter, Michael, Nina Marie, Gabriella, Salvatore, Joseph, Salvatore, Peter, Rocco, Christina, Christopher, Nico, Alexio, and Laura, and 10 great-grandchildren, Gina Marie, Jenna, Joey, Mia, Ava, Gianna, Peter, Siena, Billy, and Nicholas. The Briganti family would like to give grateful thanks to Felicia who took care of Antonina as well as Salvatore for the last 10 years. Visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral is Friday, September 25, 2015, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 8:30 am followed by a 9:30 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield. Entombment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saddle Brook. In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
