Josephine "Pina"  Cosentino (Bona)
COSENTINO, Josephine "Pina" (nee Bona), age 78, of Garfield, died on November 10, 2016. Born in Licata, Sicily-Italy, she lived there for 22 years emigrating to the United States in 1960 living in Lodi for 11 years and settling in Garfield 45 years ago. In Italy, she was a doctoral student of Biology at the University of Palermo, and after raising her family, she worked in the retail industry becoming the manager of Country Sophisticates in Paramus, and retiring from Lord and Taylor in Paramus. She was a parishioner of Mt. Virgin Church, Garfield. She is predeceased by her husband Salvatore in 1984, her parents Onofrio and Maria Angela Bona, and her brothers, Paolo and Vincenzo Bona. Loving mother of Maria Cosentino, Frank (Christian) Cosentino, Deborah (Daniel) Rigoglioso, Stephanie Cosentino, and Salvatore (Heather) Cosentino, cherished grandmother of Daniel, Julian, Victoria, Alexa, and Olivia, dear sister of Antonio (Olivia) Bona, Rosario (Carmelina) Bona, Angelo (Rosaria) Bona, Carmelina LoDestro, and Melina (Giuseppe) Mule, and dear sister-in-law of Teresa Angiulli and Esmeralda Amato. Visiting Sunday 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral is Monday, November 14, 2016, arriving at the Aloia Funeral Home at 9 am followed by a 10 am mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
