Obituary for Isabella "Bella" Picheria (De Peri)
PICHERIA, Isabella “Bella” (nee De Peri), age 97, died on October 10, 2017. Bella was born in New York City and resided there for seven years. She spent the rest of her years in Garfield and Lodi. Bella was a cafeteria worker for many years for the Lodi Board of Education before retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Rosary Society, Holy Name Society, Children of Mary, and TAMS of Our Lady of Mount Virgin Parish in Garfield. She was also a member of the Lodi Senior Citizens and Teachers Union. Besides her love of church functions and family gatherings, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking. She is predeceased by husband, John Picheria in 1995, as well as her two brothers, Joe and Sam De Peri, her four sisters, Rose Fiorenzi, Sadie Di Sclafani, Grace Brown, and Ann De Peri. She is survived by her two sons, Ernest (Susan) and Salvatore (Donna) Picheria, and four grandchildren, Leane, John, Salvatore, and Marissa. Visiting is on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral is Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Aloia Funeral Home starting at 10 a.m. followed by an 11 a.m. mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church, Garfield.
